How to choose a correct size to fitFor example, if your window measures 34″ in width by 64″ in length, the length of the shade only needs to be longer than your measurement and does not have to be as accurate as its width: •Inside Mount: Window width is shade width; window height is blind height. Blind Width = 34″; Blind Height = 64″ or longer.•Outside Mount: Add at least 2″ to the blind width and at least 6″ to the blind height. Blind Width = 34″ + 2″; Blind Height = 64″ + 6″ or longer. Inside Mount Measurements:Width: Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom inside of the window frame. Record the narrowest measurement. This ensures a proper fit without scraping.Height: Measure the height from the top inside edge of the window frame to the windowsill or desired length. Record the height. Note: Round up measurements to the nearest 1/8″inch (or 1mm). Do not deduct bracket and drive space from your measurements, we will make sure that they will fit. Outside Mount Measurements: Width: Measure the width where you want the blinds to cover. Add extra width on both sides for desired coverage and overlap.Height: Measure the height from the top to the desired length. Add any extra height for mounting brackets or valances.Note: Make sure to measure wide enough as to cover the entire window and provide maximum light gap coverage. However, this is not a rule other than that shade can cover the opening for your personal preference. A few of things to be considered. May measure the window diagonally to check if the window is square or not. If the window is not square, measure the width at the widest point for outside mount and the narrowest point for inside mount, and the height at the tallest point.If you have multiple windows side by side, try to equally divide the center space for a cohesive look.Check for Obstacles: Ensure there is enough clearance for the shades to operate smoothly, especially if there are handles, cranks, or other obstructions on the window.Double-Check: Review your measurements to ensure accuracy before ordering or purchasing roller shades or blinds.
