Make sure Shutter-Loks are clean and free from debris and oil.Please use a TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) based cleaner prior to painting.For best results, use a 100% acrylic paint.Can use a paint that is formulated to bond to plastic/vinyl products such asSherwin Williams A100 (or equivalent).Always follow the paint manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and priming prior to painting. (12) PIECES + (1) FREE (For those unexpected mistakes) Use (4) spikes per shutter up to 43" Use (6) spikes per shutter for 44" and over Drill 1/4" hole thru shutter and into wall deep enough to accept full length of Shutter-Lok. Gently tap Shutter-Lok thru shutter and into hole. Do not over tighten shutter to wall. Shutters will expand/contract with weather changes.
